Gardens By The Bay – amazing new attraction of Singapore. Huge futuristic garden with giant trees right in the centre of the city. Here there are 226 thousand plants created water gardens with cascades, waterfalls and pools, and also open two special greenhouses. This new technological marvel, once again established the Singapore among the coolest cities in the world.
The gardens by the Bay are part of the government’s strategy to transform Singapore into a garden city. The Park covers 410 sq. m and is located right next to the symbol of the city – Marina Bay Sands hotel, which I told informed. Even in a very limited space Singaporeans have allocated a huge area for a garden, but it could easily be set here skyscrapers. However, all this land was created artificially, like many other local land.
Inside if you find yourself in a well-manicured forest. Around just an incredible amount of greenery. I’ve never seen such lush hand-planted vegetation.
Landscape designers here did a great job.
Particularly impressed with the cacti under 3 meters tall.
The Park has a wonderful children’s area.
Kids are free to splash around in the fountains as you want.
One of the main attractions of Gardens By The Bay is a covered Conservatory Cloud Forest (forest in the clouds).
Here is the famous vertical mountain, greenery, and the world’s highest man-made waterfall.
In the greenhouse is supported by more humid air and low temperature to create an Equatorial mountain climate.
The point is that on this mountain with a height of six-storey building accessible by lift.
Upstairs is just an incredible variety of orchids, ferns and water lilies.
Down need on special paths and suspended bridges. If you find yourself in a sort of “Avatar.”
The design of the transparent greenhouse is very cool.
View of the Marina Bay Sands.
The hallmark of the Singapore garden are 18 giant futuristic Supertree of the trees in height from 25 to 50 meters.
These super-trees made of concrete base and steel stem which are planted 140 thousand plants.
Moreover, they built a special photovoltaic cells that accumulate solar energy during the day.
The stored energy goes to lighting these vertical gardens in the evening. Of course, in the dark Singapore trees look the coolest.
The trees change color to the music. The atmosphere here is just amazing.
Two trees linked by a suspension bridge. You can go up there and walk.
We were in Singapore at Christmas, standing around the Christmas tree and played Christmas music.
Kids and adults alike frolicked under artificial snow.
And bought Souvenirs at the fair. In General Christmas atmosphere at +30 is very unusual.
Here, you can easily spend the whole evening. Highly recommend coming before dark and wait for the dark.
In 2012, the construction of this unique Park spent more than $ 800 million. In the same year, Gardens By The Bay received the award World Architecture Festival as the most outstanding architectural project of the year.
